Drip Irrigation Tape

A double emitter drip tape is a type of drip tape that has double emitters instead of single emitter. This type of drip irrigation tape is used for the growing of vegetables and other crops.

A double emitter drip tape is not usually advised to be used when you have a single emitter drip tape.

The double emitter drip tape comes in rolls of 500 metres, 1,000 metres, 1,500 metres and 2,000 metres etc.

Accessories that can be used with the double emitter tape

The following are some of the accessories that should be used alongside the double emitters drip tape:

Connectors

This is a small devices used to connect the double emitter drip tapes to the submain lines or pipes.

End Plugs

This device is used to block or close the end of the drip tape so that flowing water will not waste away. The end plugs ensure that the drip tapes are fully pressurized.

Venturi Injector

The fertilizer injector is used to inject and pass soluble fertilizer to the double emitter drip tapes.

Question: Are double emitter drip tapes better than single emitter drip tapes?

Answer: No. This is a misconception. Single drip tapes are actually far better than double emitter drip tapes. For example, a tomato plant need just 1  -2 litres of water daily, why will you supply 6 litres of water to the tomato plant per day using double emitter drip tape.

Question: Does double emitter drip tape cpnserve water?

Answer: Double emitter drip tapes do not conserve water, they waste water? A sigle emitter drip tape is better in conserving water.

Question: Does the double emitter drup tape last longer than the single emitter drip tape?

Answer: No.
